Campus Fellowship scams. Sisters Eye service! I remember an issue that broke out in church sometime back. A mother was pissed off by the attitude of some ladies in the students fellowship. On a fateful day, she had walked past a fellowship sister and the lady merely muttered "Good afternoon ma'am" and walked past. Coincidentally the fellowship Papa (president) walked by at the same time and the said lady knelt on both knees to greet the Papa, a fellow student like herself.  Your guess is as good as mine, a church council meeting was convened on the matter. Students regard their fellowship excos more than even their parents. There was a time when the cooler ministry reigned. Sisters would cook and take food flasks to brothers (especially excos) in the fellowship, but ask many of them to cook at home, it becomes an issue.  I never received a cooler in that ministry though. Each time I see that statement on twitter I ask, why not follow first. I discover it has become a norm for most Nigerians do not want to dare to be the first; first to take an action. Instead, they wait on others to take the first step for them to "follow back". This same mentality has been brought into social media. Observing events during the Biafra agitation and the Revolution Now campaign, I see many Nigerians yearn for leadership and direction. They waited in silence for years for the person to take the lead towards their agitation before coming out en-masse. But why do they die in silence and not take the lead? Fear? A Muslim boy took a wee in my presence and asked for water when he was done to rinse his "John Thomas". I asked him the meaning of what he had just done and he said he didn't know, but his father taught him to do so. You see this is one problem with religion. That is why a lady could use the Bible as an ash tray despite a Christian upbringing. We teach them and enforce the religious rituals but leave out the conviction. You force a child to obey religious rules under your roof not because the child is convinced or knowledgeable about the spiritual implications, but because the child must oblige to the parents orders. This is why once the child is outside the parent's house, he/she will follow his/her lifestyle and conviction. Believe is a thing of the heart, not a show off religious rituals practice. I've heard some Christian brothers saying they got a revelation of who to marry in a dream. So I tried it out too My prayer was simple and straight forward, “Lord show me my wife”, then off to bed I went expectant to see her in a dream. Did she come in a dream? We agree that there is only one Almighty God that Christians and Muslims serve. But when it comes to the matter of marriage, it is 'haram' for the Muslims and the Christians also see it as 'unequally yoke' marrying from the other religion. For sometime now there has been argument on choosing a life partner as a Christian. Many Christian brothers are looking for divine confirmation of who to marry while some are just following their heart to make the choice. Speaking with a married Christian brother on the issue, here is what he has to say: "If I had known the choice was mine to make... I had lost a lot of potentials who waited for me to pop the question while I was waiting to hear a divine voice to tell me who exactly, the brother said. To answer the question point blank, the choice is yours to make, God's role is to guide you or bring you to the right person.
