An open letter to an old lover!

We have seen scams in this world but non like the emotional scam. I can't imagine I blamed myself so hard for what transpired between us back then. Ashey all na scam. My encounter with Madam SU, who was so spiritually strict, that "naughty" was a worldly word not in her saintly dictionary and must never be used even to flirt with her. I don't know if there can be a course for holy or saintly flirting and I will be the first student to enroll.

She was a Saint and in my mind, I am the one to step up to her level, even when fate had other plans for my "unsaintly" status then. She was so spiritually strict that men steered clear. Don't call her by her full name and see her wrath. Hmmm, it was that strict.

Truly, I may have fumbled too, I admit I may have hastily ruffled the waters, and who wouldn't be so agitated by such elegance, intelligence and charm in a Christian woman. Yet, it wasn't much a big deal as she escalated it to be, casting me out completely as a sinner and fleeing like I was the appearance of an evil.

Haha! Lest I forget, Poetry added some extra sauce to the pepper!!! Poetry has put me in some troubles o, especially dirge poetry. Out of the abundance of the soul, the poet inks but is this a crime? To some so called spiritual ones, the poet's soul needs some serious sanctification over the diction of his poems. Well, all I have to say is, Let he/she without sin be the first one to cast a stone. The poet writes as inspired by feelings, stories, experiences and nature. So I did wrote and it broke a camel's back.

Now I know better and I'm sure she does too. I've learned to know Christianity is not by work but a walk. We don't get there by works but by the GRACEFUL walk in God's precepts. So let us run with patience the race that is set before us. And let he that stands take heed lest he falls, for even the fallen can rise by Grace, reaching higher heights than he/she who is currently standing.

I wish today or someday, we can sit to review it over again. I'm sure she will hear the blunt words from the heart. Let's open the books down the memory lane and retrace the roles played. We all are saved by Grace and should go forth to make disciples of others instead of casting them away.

A word to the young Christian, never be intimidated on your Christian journey, walk it solely with your God with patience and at His pace. He will take you to the heights he wants you to be.

To the broken heart, never stop loving. Love mends and heals. Though judged and broken today, look up to Jesus the author and finisher of your faith.

To the Christian lover seeking an SU lover, well, the Lord be with you on that journey. He who finds a wife, finds a good thing and has obtained favour from the Lord. May we all be favoured by the Lord. To make the journey easy, first find yourself (in the Lord), and he will order your steps to "find a wife".

U.I Awo Hall Executives (Team Standard 2018) Cleared of Alleged Misappropriation of Funds

The two-year war that raged between the executive members (2018/19) of the Obafemi Awolowo hall (Awo Hall) University of Ibadan and the allegations laid against them by their Hall Warden has been settled, with the executive members exonerated of all charges.  It was gathered that the excos had been alleged of misappropriation of funds and lack of accountability by the hall warden Dr. Mrs. Adedoyin Aguoru, which led to the dissolution of the executive body and a taint on the personalities of the executive members. In a joint letter signed by the president and made public by the executive members, it was made clear the proceedings from the investigation and the eventual acquital verdict given by the Students Affairs Division of the University. Below is the content of the letter:    Re: Misappropriation of Funds and Lack of Accountability   This is an avenue to state in clear terms the true state of affairs during our tenure as Hall Executives other than allowing the earlier false impres

Insecurity in Oyo State: Towards a safer Oyo State.

Blame game/Opposition game A wise man once said, "When you keep blaming others for every situation you're in, someday you’ll begin to look like you’re the mistake all along". This holds true of our politicians in Nigeria. When a new government spend a good portion of its administration to point fingers on the failures or bad gimmicks of the old/displaced government instead of thinking outside the box to proffer solutions to the dilemma at hand, soon they will start to appear incompetent and an excuse seeker. Blame game has been a sad trend in our polity in this country. The APC government at the federal level elected in 2015 spent their entire first term blaming the deposed PDP government for insurgency and insecurity. Yeah, this state of insecurity ended the PDP reign of 16 years and the same is about to end the APC reign because they've also failed to keep the nation secured. They are now a victim of the situation that brought them to be. I hope this same trend  won
